Beyuuurds

I drew both Pidgey and Spearow for my Firered Run.  I'd have preferred Mankey but at least I have options.

I've always felt something of a kinship with Spearow; they have a lot of attitude but they can't back anything up, and in the end they get roughed up by everyone, even fighting and grass types.  They're notoriously fragile little things and can be a bit distrustful, perhaps because they've been pushed around so much.  

Not unlike myself.

Been meaning to draw myself (as a human) for a while now.  All other times I've forgotten my "seasonal freckles"; they only show up when I have a lot of sun exposure, they're virtually nonexistent in winter.  

Also wanted some practice with a brush with no pressure sensitivity.

P.S.  This little guy's name is Mathias ^^
